My Rangers are playing the worst hockey they have all season against the best defense. Needless to say, they're throughly disappointing on all fronts.
So how's YOUR team doing? Biting your nails yet, Steve?

My Habs were doing really well against the odds, until a young spectacular goalie named Ward was brought in for the 'Canes. We lost a heartbreaker last night, but will do better tomorrow because...
I have rink side seats (3rd row from the glass)!! I'll be taking my 12 year old to his first playoff game tomorrow night at the Bell Center in Montreal.
GO HABS!

I've been loving it. Not only glued to the Wings/Oilers series, but the Habs/Canes, Sabres/Flyers and Stars/Avs. A lot of exciting OT games as well.
It's really messing up my sleep schedule, but I can't turn off an OT game, I'm sorry.
The Wings need to realize that it takes more WILL than SKILL to get thru this round, and right now, they are not paying the price. They THINK they are, but they are getting outworked by the Oilers. My prediction, Osgood in net tonight, series evened 2-2.

Sorry John, I can't watch the Rangers/Devils series. Love the Blueshirts, but their swoon has me so disappointed, I can't stand it. They got the wrong team at the wrong time in the playoffs, Devils are red hot.

Sabres here. They have overachieved all season, and are a much better team than they should be, all through hard work, speed, relentlessness, and a coach who seems to be able to get more than the best out of his players. They don't have a single star in the lineup. The closest they have to a star is the highly overrated Maxim Afinogenov, a classic overhandler of the puck, who goofs up 10 times more plays than he makes good.
Their biggest weekness is in goal, I believe. To win 4 series and the Stanley Cup takes stellar goaltending, and the Sabres don't have it. It is probably the first real time in Sabres' history where the team simply does not have a marquee name in goal. Through the years it has been Crozier, Desjardins, Edwards, Sauve, Barasso, Fuhr, Malarchuck, Hasek.....Biron & Miller. The last two simply don't fit. Fortunately, their defense is fast and relentless, too, which has overcompensated for the weekness in goal all season long.
C'mon, Sabres, give me one cup!!

That makes at least two of us...and the loyalty has been tested over the last decade, due to some losing seasons.

Andrew, I think you're underestimating the Sabres. They had one heck of a year - the best in their history, if i'm not mistaken.

Ask my boy Pat Quinn of my beloved Maple Leafs about the playoffs. Missing 'em cost him his job!!
F***ing John Ferguson...
Sorry Rath/Coop, But I'm cheering for Edmonton - God love small market Canadian teams.
And though I'm not really a Sabres fan I think Lindy Ruff is a great coach & has embraced the "new" NHL. And to say I'm not a Flyers fan would be a serious understatement. I'll just say this: My favorite NHL team is the Toronto Maple Leafs & WHOEVER plays the Flyers!!!
God I love Playoff Hockey!

Mick,
Glad to learn I'm not alone. Sure seems that way here in Montreal. I think the die hard Habs fans have all left the arena!!

I'm a Leaf fan, but I'll root for anyone who plays against the Devils or the Senators.
Hey,
anyone can be a fan of a

As a true Leaf fan, I am in a comfortable position right now - telling everybody that "we'll get 'em next year. New coach, new promise, sure to win the Cup next year." You Leaf fans know the drill (keep in mind I was born in 1968). I'm pulling for the Habs now!
