....and no doubt those things that looked a lot like hand rolled cigarettes but weren't (in other words, those lighters weren't just for encores.)

I call shenanigans on Joe Walsh actually singing in the intro of that clip.

Cool video. Nice mid-70's 4001MG. I had no idea how many of the songs I liked were recorded with a Rick bass.
Not sure if the studio version of Hotel California was also recorded on a Rick bass, but this live version sure sounds like the studio version.

I forgot there was a Rick in that clip!
The song's a little worn out for me, but I always listen for the tasty leads anyway!

I saw the Eagles Hotel California Concert Tour in 76 when they played Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto.
Randy was playing his 4001.
That concert introduced me to Mesa Boogie amps.

"His tasty guitar licks - listen to The James Gang. BTW, The James Gang is riding again."
I've enjoyed playing Funk 49 for many years.

"Why is Joe Walsh so cool?"
Because he's from Cleveland.
Which is also why Brian Crisman and I are so cool, too.

This is what my Dad always says. But that's also because he's from Cleveland as well, and so is Michael Stanley.

So are The Rasberries.

I like the Raspberries, check out "Tonight", it really rocks although it had a bubblegum production, the lousy production of all their stuff was their downfall IMHO, the drums always sounded like cardboard boxes and the bass sound was terrible and buried all the time.
I always thought Joe Walsh was a great guitar player, thought his joining the Eagles was a little bit of a sell out on his part, but I wouldn't have turned down the money either.
Who is Michael Stanley?
