Don't rate it at all to be honest, he plays like Suzi Quatro!

OK sound though!

Careful there Mark....You're talking about the first woman I loved! Image

In fact I just bought a late 1950s Gibson EB2 on account of Suzi's influence over me still! Image

Ahh, she was a hotty back then, but she could never really play bass... she was just a popstar.

It's intriguing how she wants to be taken seriously as a bassist. Have you heard her latest offerings? *hurl* - talk about a TIRED sound...

Back then she was sex on legs, who could sing rock 'n' roll.

When she claims she became a great player from having "The hardest bass ever to play from an early age, The Fender Precision" - come on...

Did she ever play an EB2, or even a Rickenbacker!? The Fender Precision is probably (after the Jazz) *THE* easiest bass to play, there's nothing to it! Hence its success.

She was even on TV here yesterday, she really is full of **** at times. Image

Mark, I agree that she was a hottie back in the early Seventies for sure. I have heard her more recent stuff and again, I agree that it's ****. I was so disappointed with her recent 'Leather Forever' DVD. I would much rather have had something from her glory days.

I don't think she ever played a Rickenbacker, but she played a variety of other basses...a Gibson Les Paul Triumph, Gibson Thunderbird, Gibson Ripper, BC Rich...and yes, she played a Gibson EB2 as well:-

'OK sound though'. I totally agree. A 4001 would not sound 'okay', it would sound perfect.Image

Sérgio, don't let Jwr2 hear you say that. Image

Personally, I don't prefer the sound of a 4001 over a 4003, or vice-versa, I love both their sounds - you cannot deny that a 4003 gives you far more bang, however; purely because they're newer. It's always been said, modern Ric pickups are FIRE.

But, what can you say... yet another oldy trying to be Chris. *sigh* (j/k, Image)

The video is not bad.

I like the Suzi Quattro reference. She may be remembered best as Leather Tuscedaro from "Happy Days" on TV, but I must admit that "Stumblin' In" is a guilty pleasure fun song that I enjoy when it's played on XM-7!
