I just got back from the UK confluence. It was great. Tony and his band were really rockin'! (Fantastic original material and a killer version of Lola.) I don't have any pics but there quite a few cameras clicking away.

What a great experience! Thanks very much to Mike Smith for sponsoring the confluence, it was a very classy and well done event. I enjoyed meeting several Forum members and seeing a bewildering array of modern and vintage Rickenbackers (70+ I think Peter said), but in particular I enjoyed seeing Tony Carey's excellent band, the Rampant Carnivors. You know how Tony talks about Rics and Marshalls, believe me, he's right!

I don't suppose there's even the remotest possibility that Tony is English, is there?
And he's wearing the trademark shoes!
A fine looking collection.... and the instruments look pretty special too! Looking forward to many more pics, guys.

Just got home, shattered after a long (but great) day. Thanks Mike for all the hard work that you put in, and thanks for the great traditional Roast beef and Yorkshire pudding dinner (and a veggie dinner for Barbara). Pix from me tomorrow when I surface from the pit! Some superb instruments there, but I feel sorry for Graham G. as all of his guitars are old ones (he doesn't have any new ones at all, poor Graham!).
