This has my attention at the moment. Anyone got any experience with these??? It looks like it could be the perfect small amp.

A lot of folks over at the FDP love the Scout. I Have briefly played through one at the eastside GC up here, it sounded good but that was quite a while ago so I can't really give you more details on it's sound. One thing I didn't like is having to reach back to get to the controls, pretty awkward. I felt the same way about the controls on the Fender HRD I used to have. Controls should be on the front, that is why Leo redesigned his amps in the late '50s/early '60s.

Hi Scott, I bought one of these, the 12" version, about six months ago. I was looking for something portable that sounds good. This baby is a home run.
It offers amazing power and tone regardless of size. I run a Trace 600X/115 & 410, or an Ampeg SVT/810, when playing out. Although I've have not played out with the Scout, if I have everything at home I always pick the Boogie to practice with.
It offers a rich, warm tone that does not color the natural sound of the bass being used. It is the amp I go to in order to A/B different basses.
Initially I worried that she was expensive for her size. Once I got her home, no worries. She is worth every penny. I would highly recommend this amp. If something happened to this one, I would not hesitate to buy another. She is one of the best all around amps I've ever owned or played.

I tried a Mesa Boogie 400+ through an Ampeg cabinet with an 18" speaker at a Musicgoround a couple of days ago. I had it on 2 and every snare drum in the place came alive. Very, very nice!
