This may have already sold but it is still listed on our Atlanta craigslist. I went by and had a look at it and thought that it was a little high and the guy wouldn't come down in his price.

The seller said that this bass was given to him by a friend who found it under a pile of junk in an apartment!!!

Anyway...

there's a major rout for the Pbass pups and the pickguard is makeshift.

It does have the red marker dots and the rods don't look like they were ever adjusted...

electronics are iffy (seems to be the jacks)...pots are 73,

tuners are reverse kluson and the neck is pretty good with a slight twist toward the g string.

Action pretty low with some fret wear

A couple of holes above the pg near the neck pup

and the bridge strap button has been re-located slightly higher...

also no case...

anyone in atlanta that's interested should contact the seller....I'm not affialiated in any way...I was thinking $700 was a fair price...ps. the guy won't ship.

Anyone else notice the P-pup doesn't line up with where the strings would be?

Dude, save your $700. With a tiny bit more money & a little bit of patience you can pick up a Rick that's ready to go and isn't a basket case!

I live in Atlanta too - come to my house if you wanna see a slightly beat up '74 4001 that's in WAY better shape than that one!

WAY too much money! $400 or so would be more reasonable. That poor thing needs a fair bit of replacement parts.

Wow! Here we go again - a P-Bass pickup on a Rickenbacker bass. $900? No comment.
