Questions re

Post by wormdiet »

What are the physical differences between a Laguna and a regular 360? I am not talking about pickups, electronics, or other hardware, but rather, the actual body and neck of the guitar.
Three seem fairly obvious:
1) Different wood
2) Different neck width
3) Different routing for pickguard access (360) vs. backplate access (Laguna)

Am I missing anything subtle like different contouring or different sound chambers?

The fingerboard height off of the body is much lower. Combined with the solid combination bridge/tailpiece, it's a much more massive sound in the direction of a solid body. However, the lighter walnut body converts that back toward a more acoustic sound.
