Marillion's Peter Trewavas
They were my favorite band way back in the 80's.
I knew he played a 4000. Did anyone ever see him play the 4080/12? I never did.

It's possible he's got confused Dave, but I would have hoped that the difference between one neck and two might have been spotted! I'll see what I can find out.
Robert, CAS is an EMI release is it not? Are there no US releases of the EMI albums? You guys are used to cheap CDs. Certainly the double disc edition is about £13, but there is a single disc version for about £7. These are not high prices for the UK.

The single-disc version of "Clutching At Straws" is a US release, but I can't find it anywhere in stores, and last time I checked, Amazon didn't have it in stock. I also prefer the double-disc editions, because they have lots of awesome stuff on them ("Freaks" and "Lady Nina" for instance, on "Misplaced Childhood"). Also, the non-cut-down edition of "Marbles" (the one with both CDs, not just one), is nowhere to be seen here.
Hmmm, Marillion....I dunno...complicated without being brilliant equals...well, complicated...
(Another of those bands, by the way, whose instrumental musicianship I admire, but whose vocalist I would like to strangle...)
But speaking of Marillion, I'm reminded of a joke I heard recently. (Sorry, it's a blonde joke. I feel bad picking on anybody, but I'll quit picking on blondes when they quit running the world...). Here goes:
He: "Did you hear about the fourteen Brazilian soldiers being killed?"
She: "Is that more than a Million????"
Okay, right...back to the thread. Isn't Marillion the band that has the tune that repeats (while beating away at an infantile melody until it's drilled into the ground) the word: "incommunicado"...?
I rest my case...

I didn't get where I am today by being on time...
You're right, Dave. About the taste thing, I mean...
Didn't Starcastle have all that stuff, too? Yipes, is all I'm sayin'...
If I found myself on a subway platform in Manhattan in the '80s (as I frequently did), and I were suddenly to get "Everybody Wang Chung tonight..." stuck in my head, I believe I coulda run with it. Now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure I probably did.
"Incommunicado", on the other hand, and I woulda hurled myself onto the Electric Third Rail...
