A really nice bass. I wonder if he actually owns it. Could be a noob with no ebay savvy & very little interest in detail. Or not.
Someday I'd like to have one of those S8's.

Crikey! My old 8 string, exactly the same as that, cost £1595 from Music Ground (which is notoriously expensive) brand new! He's being very hopeful....but then they're like hen's teeth in the UK. It'll be interesting to see how it goes.

Hmm... I think the seller is Portuguese, as hinted at by his name. Also, not too long ago someone was selling a Rick 8 stringer locally.

Hi Keith. Well, you may not credit this, but I've not been to Albufeira in twenty four years! I have a couple of pics from that occasion wherein I'm wearing - or should I say showing off - my Rickenbacker 50th Anniversary T-shirt. I really can't say what Albufeira looks like these days. I trust you will like it though.

Hi Sergio, Are you based in Lisbon? I have been to Albufeira before about 12 or 13 years ago and it was the best holiday we ever had. Hence the return with the family. Will have a car and travel round The Algarve a bit I think. Sorry all for hijacking the thread.

Yes, I was born and have always lived in Lisbon.
As for the above 8 stringer, I'm now sure it is the very same I saw being sold locally a couple years back.
