I'm not sure what to make of that Greg.

I'll be interested to see if this research does in fact materially change Enstein's theory relative to the speed of light.

If true, this research could lead to all kinds of new technological advances based on the principles of this discovery.

Every hit on the first two pages of the results of googling "University of Rochester, speed of light" is just a reprinting of the press release they issued.

Now, I'm no physicist, I'm just a comms engineer, but I'm going to file this in the same place all of my cold fusion press releases are until I get something other than a press release to read.

Yeah, I wonder if it is legit too, but it made it on foxnews, and was also in the journal "Science" on may 12th, so maybe it is legit. I read about how he did his testing methods and they sounded like they were based on good scientific principles and sound judgement. This is something Foxnews said about it too.

"Though not normally stated in news reports, Science is a peer-reviewed journal. That means some experts read Boyd's paper and said it was good enough to publish."

It is interesting anyway, whether you believe it or not. Image
