As an update to the Philadelphia Guitar Show, I have it on good authority that a fair condition, late 73 FG 4001 sold for $2,300.00. Also a MG 67 4005 was sold to the evil empire (GC) for over $9,000.00.

It’s one thing to see people ask for these crazy prices, it’s another issue for them to really sell that high.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!

The worst part is that GC is now going to resell that bass... I shudder to think...

By late '73, you mean without early features, right? If so, I'm hanging onto my '77 just until it's worth the same in trade as a V63...

OR NOT!!!!

Dave, you and I looked at that 4005, and I didn't see anywhere near that kind of price in it....

We also saw a Fireglo '66 360/12, clean but NO room left under the bridge...$5K...couldn't see that being realized either.

Sanity check...

The Bathtub Test:

It doesn't hurt to take a hard look at yourself from time to time, and this should help get you started.

During a visit to a mental asylum, a visitor asked the Director what the criterion was which defined whether or not a patient should be institutionalized.
"Well," said the Director, "we fill up a bathtub, then we offer a teaspoon, a teacup and a bucket to the patient and ask him or her to empty
the bathtub."
"Oh, I understand," said the visitor. "A normal person would use the bucket because it's bigger than the spoon or the teacup.
"No" said the Director, "A normal person would pull the plug. Do you want a bed near the window?"
