Hi guys,

If you recall, I have ordered a 360/12C63 last sep' from music123,

A few days ago I have emailed them asking if there are any news on my order, not only they cut me off, they also said I ASKED TO CANCEL MY ORDER...

Please read the thread and tell me what you think... It's hard to explain how furious I am, not only the canceled my ordered - they treat me like an idiot...

Here is the thread, first message at the bottom... :

Message Text Hello,
Please read the thread correspondence,
I did not ask to cancel my order, I asked the status of my order, here is what I wrote on 5/25/2006 :
"
Hello,
I would like to know what is the status of my order.
When I ordered it I was told there are 28 orders "in line". May I know how many do you have now which will be shipped before mine will be?
Any estimated delivery date?

Thanks."

Then you replied telling me you no longer deal with Rickenbacker.

Please re-read the entire thread (it will take only 2 minutes) before you reply.

Thank you.

Message Text Hello,

If what you said is true - that's outrageous!

The backorder on these guitars is huge, I took an order with you while I could have taken an order with another store, that means I waited all this time for nothing and in case and I will put a new order for the guitar now (from a different store) - I will be at the end of the queue again!

1. You should have let me know my order is cancelled rather than wait for me to contact you.
2. You made me wait almost a year for nothing while I could have ordered it from someone else WHO WILL ACTUALLY SHIP MY ORDER.

That's not a way to treat a customer, actually, that's not a way to treat anyone!

Please advise.

Gil.

There's a whole thread about this issue somewhere on this forum.. I guess Music 123 weren't paying their bills in a timely fashion..

That happened to me last year- I had a 360BBR, 4003BBR, 4003FLBBR, and a 380L on order. They slowly got canceled. FIrst I got an e-mail stating that they were on backorder. Then another e-mail months later stated they were closeouts. Then a few months later, they were terminated... Check out Musicians Friend- they have 360/12C63s popping up. I got my 2nd one last week from them.

Gil--

They're correct that they don't carry the Rick line anymore, and Mr. Hall has a post on this episode over at the corporate website's forum. Apparently you're not the only one to have their order cancelled by Music 123 and not be told.

It is irresponsible of them not to inform you that they've had their line to Rickenbacker cut off. It is disingenuous to stste that it was cancelled at YOUR request. You had nothing to do with the cancellation--and according to Mr. Hall, it was Music 123's business practices that caused Rick to pull their dealer status.

I would contact the Better Business Bureau with this information, as well as filing a complaint with your state's (or with Music 123's home state's) business regulatory commission and/or Attorney General's consumer practices division.

I thought about that. If filing a complaint would put a 380L in my lap, I'd do it. But it's not going to happen.. I just won't shop at Music123 anymore.

Thanks guys,

What ****** me off more than everything is the fact they claimed *I* asked for it to be cancelled.

Simply annoying.
Can I fill up a claim despite not being a US citizen?

Thanks.
I will never buy from M123 in my life.

According to your profile, you're located in Israel. If that's correct, M123 was unauthorized to ship to you anyway, as their dealer agreement prohibited sales outside of North America. This in itself would have been grounds for the termination of their dealership and we routinely, and unfortunately all too regularly, drop dealers for precisely this violation.

They would have had it shipped to a US address I gave them, they told me they cannot ship it outside the united states.
