I wanted to make an impact with my first post, but I did not expect make people cry.
I am more of a MG guy myself.

Yes, I may have expensive taste, but I have realistic expectations. I love my 4003.

Hmmmm,,,when you consider the crazy prices of the Lemmy and Chris Squire signatures, the prices for true vintage collectable pieces doesnt seem so bad.
To rich for my blood, but still..

Anyone think the price on the 6 string is fair?

I think it's fair just for the fact that's rare to come by one.
Even the 8 string is priced fairly in today's market and economy. Those were custom made.

In terms of rarity, how many 4005/8's or 4005/6's were actually made???
Look what Lemmy's go for, and there are 60 of those around.
I doubt that you'll find 60 of these rare 4005's.

Welcome Roger. Good luck with the kidney removal you'll need to pay for the bass!

Yeah, no offense to anyone who owns one but I can't believe the prices people are paying for both those signature basses, the LK and CS. I'd pay twenty grand for that bass just as a collectible before I'd pay 4 or 5 grand for a Lemmy. But I won't buy a bass I wouldn't play and I can't see myself playing an 8 string anytime soon, nor a bass with three humbuckers on it.
