Nice, but methinks there might be some "creative salesmanship" at work here:

"This was the only 4005 bass made in 1967 in Maple Glo and is one of the rarest of all Rickenbacker basses ever made."

Oh, and uh...last time I checked, $16,500 for a 4005 wasn't such a good value.

Wasn't 1967 the year RIC made the most 4005 basses in any given year?
So how can there be one one mapleglo, a stock color, produced in one year? Also, Didn't Entwistle own 3 4005s? All mapleglo and I'm not sure if one of them was a '67.
Also, talk about artificially inflating the value of the 4005.
However, these are very beautiful examples of the bass.

I think the MG may have been the one at the Philadelphia GTR show that sold for $9K.

Does the bridge look a little different on the MG or is it just the angle of the picture?

It just has the original Bridge Mute cover on it.
