Hi all,
As I have mentioned previously I have a wealth of images of rare, vintage & celebrity owned instruments that have accumulated over the past 25 years or so. Many cool Ricks are included. It's time to share the wealth, as it were.
What items would be most interesting to the group? I can put these images on pretty much anything, although only certain ones are high-res enough for posters. Shirts, hats, mugs, mouse pads, stickers, bumper stickers, fridge magnets. Lemme know what interests you, as I can't do everything to start out.
For example, which poster layout for McGuinn's 370-12 is most appealing, and what size would be best? Keep in mind these are quick & dirty mock ups.
Obviously, everyone here will get first shot and best pricing before we market them...
Thanks in advance.

No interest? You could have this cool stuff in your hands by the 75th anniversary shindig. Just point me in the right direction...

I'm with Gary, the bottom one.
And i'd be most interested in posters, stickers, and fridge magnets.

Oops! Sorry, Scott, for not specifying items. I think posters, hats, shirts, and mugs would be nice items.

Scott, when I did the Forum T-shirts, calendar and mugs, it was with the co-operation and approval of John Hall. I placed a copyright legal notice on all these products, and they were produced for promotional purposes, not for profit.
Have you sought John's approval on these for-profit products?
I ask because I see no such legal lines on your mockups (above).

Hi Paul.
I have not sought John's approval, nor is it necessary in this instance. I am not promoting the Rickenbacker brand, which RIC holds as a trademark.
I am promoting specific images of specific rare and/or famous instruments, to which I hold copyright.
Obviously I'm open to any requests John may make.

Scott, I like the second one best, but I looked at the guitars you have for sale right now in another section and love a lot of those photos as well. I'd personally like to see a coffee table book..."My life and the guitars that lived it."

The images of the items currently for sale are not mine. They were supplied to me by the seller.
Several books have been discussed over the years, and we've provided images and info to many of the ones that are out there. Printing cost have come way down, so who knows...

Scott: Necessary or not, surely in the interest of respect and maintaining good public relations wouldn't it be desirable to check with RIC to see how they feel about this venture. After all, it has been through their cooperation and understanding that this Forum is here in the first place.

I, for one, miss the Rickenbacker T-shirts the RIC website used to offer. Anyone else feel the same way?

I've been involved in many different organizations that have had T shirts made. I think it would be great to have a T shirt offered to the Rickenbacker Forum members that might simply have reference of the forum and of course word RICKENBACKER. Although this may need approval from Rickenbacker to print up and distribute among members.
I would love to work on the project and may post a separate thread after doing some research into it.
