Anyone played a Dingwall 5 or 6?

This is another bass I am considering (eventually). I like the idea of the extended scale length for the B string, but am not sure how easy it will be to adapt to the Novak system. Has anyone here played one? How would you describe the tone/playability?
Thanks in advance!
For those who haven't seen these, they can be found at

I played a Dingwall Afterburner and was VERY impressed. The fanned frets were quite easy to adapt to and there were no issues switching back and forth with my Rics. Great even tone across the full range and one of the best B strings I've heard.
Between the Dingwall and the Modulus I'd choose the Dingwall.

I don't know why, but "Dingwall" sounds to me like it should be an Australian brand.

Same here. But, even more, "Dingwall Afterburner" sounds like something you'd get after a good curry...

Ha ha. well, you can get some fine curry in Canada, I'll leave out the "down under" jokes.
Thanks for the comments Brian, especially the note about the B string, which is a major concern. Like the Modulus, there is no one local (within a day's drive) who carries them, so these would likely be blind purchases, if and when.
