I sold a cd ... the guy pays with paypal ... I get the money on monday ... on friday he files a dispute with paypal because he hasn't received the CD yet ... I believe that qualifies him as an idiot ...

I had a seller file an "Unpaid Item" dispute AFTER they got my money. the hour after the auction closed.

What does that make him, I wonder?

I sold a program via ebay and the guy paid with Paypal. He receives it, burns who-knows-how-many-copies, and then wants his money back because it was "defective". I said no way, he files a chargeback.....he wins. I get the program back and there is nothing wrong with it (except for new scratches he put on).

I made my living off selling CDs & music memorabilia on eBay for about a year. I could fill PAGES with some of the antics of these pathetic little morons out there, but the best one was this:

I sold some chick 4 vintage, import Siouxie & The Banshees posters from the mid 80's. Keep in mind that these are USED, VINTAGE, 20 year old pieces of paper that were stored in some record store's back room.

She gave me negative feedback & demanded a refund because...wait for it...she didn't like how the posters smelled.

How they smelled?!?

Sad, lonely broad probably living in her mommy's basement. Comes home from her day job at Wachovia & puts her eyeliner on and listens to Bauhaus until the Gilmore Girls comes on.

Loser.

I had a dingbat file a complaint with me on ebay for "item not as described" because I had not given him positive feedback -- which he writes in his complaint!

I've once given quite a few cassettes to somebody who has promised to copy them & give them back to me in 2 weeks. Never saw neither the person nor the cassettes again.
Don't tell me who's an idiot. I know it. Image

Actually, I was thinking "generous". The idiot is the person who treats others like that.

I bought a Bass Pod XT Live via Ebay on June 1. Paid within an hour of winning via PayPal. My echeck cleared on the 6th but I still don't have the item. They guy says he had a family emergency and he's sorry and please forgive him and thanks for understanding and he'll ship it ASAP (that was this last Monday) but I still don't have a tracking number so I'll be filing a fraud claim against him if I don't get an indiction he's sent it by Friday.

He had a positive feedback score of 54 - no negs as a buyer or a seller...

Well, I'm the idiot in this case.

When I was living in Hawaii, I made friends with a guy who played every Friday evening at a lounge. My girlfriend and I become regulars there (Buzz's Steak House, not far from the college). He and I have a common bond, a couple of mainlanders in a locals only world.

So he has a recording date set up, needs a bass. Trusting soul that I am, I offered either my 4005 or my Fender (which I liked a lot). He chose the Fender, luckily.

My girlfriend and I go to the bar after that only to find out he'd been fired for showing up drunk and starting a fist-fight with the customers. I am a lousy judge of character. After that surprisingly, he just "disappeared". Phone disconnected.

Stupid haoles.
