It's missing the finger rest, so I would give you about $200.00 for it.
Really though, that thing is in good shape. Should bring in a pretty penny.

It it were mine and were to put it up on eBay, I'd start it at $1,000 and let the market determine the price. Looks like the tailpiece has lost most of its plating, not surprising. Note the full width inlays, but not crushed pearl. Also note walnut head wings and squared off neck heel.

Holy Smoke, where'd that come from???
That's a beauty, Graham. Looks like a good honest one to me.

I can tell you what mine cost 3 years ago. That would only be a starting point. Of course then there is always the UK premium that can be added to any Rick.

Wait, the thread title says 1963 . . . did '63 basses even HAVE binding? Are you sure that's not like a 1968?

No Ted - not in the UK
Are you sure that's not like a 1968?..............no Bobcat, I'm only going on what the guy said so far. He has a '69 for around $4000 but no horseshoe - so I would think he's sure this one's a '63?

Mine has binding. I am reasonably sure that bass is also a '63. The key details match up nicely with my '63.
