I am a Tool fan, and din't realize until another thread here that their original bassist, Paul D'Amour, played a Rick. Anybody have any good photos of him playing?

Here are a few that I found...

I guess it was a 4001CS that he played, Sounds great on the Undertow CD!

Any other pix or video links appreciated (have to head to YouTube for a look).

I know this thread is old, but are those Hi-Gains in the bridge and neck positions on that guitar??

... it definately looks like it to me - just weird on a CS4001 - maybe because of his technique?

I always loved Paul's tone, and I am just starting to really get into the grandaddy of that tone now... Mr. Chris Squire(I know I'm late to the party!)Image

The new Tool album is awesome, BTW..it seems Justin Chancellor is using more distortion on his Wal, and getting a sound more remniscent of Paul's early tones..

Yes, the 10,000 Days CD is great. Great bass tone on all of their CDs. There was a good cover story on Justin in one of the bass mags last month.
