Hi All
I was just wandering how may on here know that over the August Bank Holiday Weekend, Terry Sylvester is playing a home coming concert at Liverpool’s Cavern Club. He is on the bill with Joey Mulland of Badfinger.
Is there many members on here that plan to go.

I was quite taken by the way that Terry Sylvester took over for Graham Nash in 1969. His time with The Swinging Blue Jeans certainly seems to have stood him in good stead as he took over the harmonies of Nash and did an outstanding job of it too. His guitar work also added a new dimension to The Hollies.

You are so right there Peter!
I think Terry finest hours with The Hollies were his breath taking high harmony vocal on Air That I Breathe and He Aint Heavy. Also another firm favorite of mine that he sang harmony and co lead vocal is Sorry Suzanne.

I first saw Terry with The Escorts way back in 66 at a particular rough club in Halifax, I mentioned this in passing on another site and received a communication from him via a third party to say how he too remembered that club.
He actually made a good album with the late James Griffen of Bread fame.
Welcome to your own part of the evergrowing empire of Peter´s, Martin. I welcome your input.

Hi Roy
Thanks a lot for you r postings and your memories of seeing Terry. Yea and Terry did a duo type of thing with James Griffin for quite a few years. It was a sad loss for Terry and everyone at the time.
Thanks for your welcome message Roy, very much appreciated. It was nice to be invited by Peter to join The Admin team so to speak!

i know this is an old thread, but i have to second the compliment to Terry Sylvester and Joey Molland. i saw them back in november of 2006 at a indian casino in manistee, michigan. they were the best of a multiple bill that night, even though they had to endure a shabby back up band, they both did great. joey's guitar playing was spot on. Terry was kind enough to stay after the show and sign autographs and chat with every single person that wished to. his wife vollenteered to take our picture with Terry. I would have loved to talk guitars with Joey but i guess he had somthing he had to do. i don't hold it against him. i would have loved backing those two with my Ric 360-12. i know i'm dreaming now, but somebody hired the guys they had. Terry and Joey, thanks again for a great evening.
