I believe this one's legit. The (butchered)pickguard may not be the original one. The string retainer is not an original Rickenbacker feature, and the pickup is a replacement as stated by the seller.

It's a real set neck 4000 bass with nonoriginal parts, namely the tuners, case, string retainer, brass nut, pickguard, knobs, and pickup.

No ones bidding on that bass!

Its a shame, if i actually had any money id buy it and put it right. I really like old 4000's, i saw and played a 75 just like that one once.

.......perhaps nobodys bidding cos its kinda hammered Image

Yeah, this one is pretty hammered! It can be saved though. I wish I had the money to bid on the one that sold last week ('75 burgandyglo). That one went for $790 and was in much better shape.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTTTTTTT!!!!

These Korean "Aria-Pro" OEMed copies sell for the equivalent of $ 280USD (with gigbag) at my local store. Good for when your manager tells you to smash your bass on stage.

i also like it. However i think bidding on it runs the risk that its the scabbiest rick youve ever seen!

My rick is pretty scruffy, but if i photograph it , it comes out looking spotless.

I think you get me hereImage
