Colors available in 1965

Well, at that time I believe that the only solid color that was being applied was black (Jetglo)..
If you are wanting a factory appearance, I'm afraid that's it.

It confirms John's answer. Burgundy was a 1965 color, so maybe a dark Burgundy, albeit transparent, might work?

I have seen a factory pre-Burgundyglo Rickenbacker from 1967, that was more of a transparent cherry-red than Burgundyglo. In fact, Mike Parks owns it...it's a 365, defintitely a custom-order. There was also that 'weird' Autumnglo, like a black-to-red burst...I think that was around in 1965 as well...you see this on some special models...

Dang John, that's amazing. Circles... you know what you need to do... ; ) ... and since the wood isn't perfect, I'd have it bound, myself... something in an aged cream would be amazing.

Daniel: As far as I'm concerned, you can't go wrong with Jetglo and white trim. I think RIC should change the name to Penguin-glo. A classic look for a classic guitar!

You could make an export 330/12 by binding it, and the slash soundhole would make it unique among exports.
