Higains in a 660/6

I have a 660/6 and a 620/12 on order.
Does anyone know if I can swap the higains in the 620/12 and the toasters in the 660/6?
I want to have a more aggressive tone on stage with the 660/6,
and I want to string the 620/12 with flatwounds and have toasters in it (for studio work).
My main concern is.....Will the higain's pole pieces line up correctly with the string spacing on a 660?

Mark: You won't have any trouble in my view. I had a set of high gains in a telecaster once, the pole pieces lined up fine and there was no signal loss at all. The same should be the case with your 660.

That's good to know Peter - i'm considering a Toaster in the neck of a Tele, glad to know it'll work out with the string spacing.

Nice thing about RICs is that their pickups are interchangeable.

I just got a 620-12 (2004) and it came with the Toasters. You'll really like the sound.

Mark, I wanted to find out if you tried out the high gain pickups with your 660. I have a slight preference (I know, some of you probably think I'm crazy) for the high gains in my 370/6 over the toasters in my 660/6, but I'm still adjusting.

Mark...there are many, myself included, that find the higains an all round better bet than the toaster....so you're not crazy on your own!

I didn't want to give it all away on the toasters. Nice to hear that I may have company in the loony bin if that is the real test.
