I just saw this, and it gave me a nice laugh. Just what you need after a hard day's day, methinks.

Hahahaha. That was great. Eric Idle is a great writer. Good for George to go along with that funny skit.

The song's been on bootlegs for years. That's the first time I've seen the video, though. Great stuff!

After watching that one, I also saw this one:

All-Star "I Saw Her Standing There"

Anyone know where this was from?

I'm not sure which venue that was Jerry, but Paul Schaffer drives me nuts. IMO that man is over rated.

Shaffer has been the musical director and producer for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame since 1986. Perhaps this was one of the many benefit concerts that he gets involved with.

No one sings the Pirate Song like Pirate Bob.

Brian, I think that may be the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction. Where else would you see Bruce Springsteen on stage with Bruce Johnston and Dionne Warwick. Brian Wilson was in the background. The Stones, The Beatles, The Beach Boys... It smells like the 1988 induction. But that smell could be me...I just finished working out.

I think you are right, Brian. It appears to be one of the legendary induction ceremonies from before they were ever televised. I remember reading the paper after such inductions and they'd always say who was in the jam session, and how they must have been unbelievable to see in person. Maybe down the road they'll release some of these on video.

ISHST was a great performance, and you could tell everybody was having a blast.

Watch for George giving the "moptop" shake at the end of the first verse/chorus. I love it!

Andrew, is it hard to believe that no one would think to televise such an event? This was a classic induction. Not because of who went in, but because of Mike Love's tirade against the other bands.

Brian Wilson was right...Mike would be pumping gas if it wasn't for him. (Wilson)
