WOW!!! Thanks that is EXACTLY what I have been looking for! When I said non-wavy I meant the clover did not have the raised area in the middle.
I'll be fighting tooth and nail for this one... the last piece needed to bring my 72 back to stock.
Thank you so much!

"no ferral or screws"
humor me here guys because I have never changed a tuner (and my bass is not infront of me, it is in the shop getting some work done), but do I have the original ferral? Looks like I don't. Screws I can get from ric... but how would I get this attached with a proper sized ferrel?
p.s. the non-stock tuner is the D (more obvious from the back as it is an open style)

John-It looks like you have the correct ferrule, but(and maybe the photo is playin' tricks on me) those are looking more like the flat than the wavy Grovers.

****... yeah I looked at the second picture in the auction and realized that that is a wavy tuner... not a flat one.
I guess the search continues.

I wonder if it would be worth buying, grinding the peg flat, and then re-chroming the peg.

That sounds like too big of a PIA, and the results might not turn out as good as you want.
No biggie, I'm sure if you're patient the right tuner will show up eventually. If not, you can buy a full set of wavys after your band hits it big.

Or maybe in 8 years when I finish schooling and finally start making some real money.
ah **** I will be 34 then... I need a tuner soon.

I see how that first photo on ebay could trick you into thinking its a flat Grover.
So what are you saying John....34 is too "old" to enjoy Rickenbackers?!

Agreed on both counts.
