Just by chance I got such an item from the ebay. Does anybody have any experience with these PUs?
Hopefully this thread and question does not annoy anybody!

Peter: I cannot find that pick-up on the All Parts website. Do you know the P/N or where they have it listed?

Peter: I called All Parts. These pick-ups are no longer available and haven't been for over 5 years. Sounds like RIC shutdown whoever made these parts.

Look up trademark registration 2,665,042 at
www.uspto.gov (which is not linkable) for your answer.

I wonder how AllParts can keep making the 4000 series tailpiece/bridge assembly. It's not an exact copy, but it's close.

No patents involved, just a 1999 TRADEMARK, like I said originally, which won't be expiring anytime soon, unlike a patent.
With regard to the bridge, one thing at a time. However, now that the horseshoe is covered, the bridge is pretty close to the top of the list.

@Dan Wilder: I also have such ALLPARTS 4001 tailpiece including the bridge which is fully adjustable with tuned strings. I'm looking for some early 4003 (with the two extra screws) to swap with someone.

"However, now that the horseshoe is covered....."
John, is that a HINT? Will they be available SOON?
My 4003VP is screaming for horseshoe! She has hopes the RIC fairy will bring one soon, and feels left out being her sisters 4001CS & V63 each have one!

Tony, don't get your hopes up, I think he intended "Now that the horseshoe is taken care of" in terms of legal stuff.
