My son has become a major Green Day fan, and has been jammin' on the bas. If anyone has a line on a used one, it would be appreciated.

Hi Marc, did you find a Dirnt yet. I just read your post after trading mine toward a Ken Smith.
I shipped it out Saturday so they may not have it yet. It is in excellent condition with a Fender gig bag.
It went to Lighthouse Sound out of Ohio. I dealt with Kevin, cell# 330-831-7788. New strings on her and sounds cool.

Cool, the Dirnt is a large bass. Can be a load for a newbie.
I'll be watching for him on MTV.

Here's the REAL cool thing though...He goes with my wife into FYE today.. they ask him.."what's it gonna be? The latest Justin Timberlake" or whatever?
He says "No, I'll take a Ramones CD and a Led Zeppelin poster"
That's Ma'boy!

Ramones? Zeppelin? Quick Marc, get a DNA test!
Aliens may have switched your boy!
How old is the young fella? Where did he get those influences from?
Good taste in music, smart enough to pick bass as his weapon of choice, already on MTV. I think you can go ahead and squander your 401K Marc.

He's a great kid, and picked the influences on his own. Basically, he took a liking to Green Day, and through reading(yes kids do that on the internet sometimes) he found the others.
I consider him a drummer, but he likes having the bass in his room to fiddle with. The ear is good, and he figures out the bass lines on his own.
All this at the ripe old age of 9.

I love Green Day and the Dirnt bass. Good Bay Area lads. Just like the kids next door.

My father's wife's grandson goes to school with Billie Joe Armstrong's son. That makes us practically related.
