McGuinn's SF Lightshow, was for sale back in the Fall of '80 on consignment with a dealer. I used to get the dealer's monthly newsletter.
I remember the price at being something like $1200. I could be wrong about the exact amount, but not the number of zeros or the first number being a "1".
It did not sell by the time I got the next monthly newsletter, or the next...on the fourth mailing, the dealer said he was going to lower the price by $100.00 every month until it sold. After the price went down to $900.00, it was no longer listed, so I assume it was sold.
I kicked myself a little at the time. and of course a lot now...

Your guess is as good as mine.
But, everytime I think RIC has run out of surprises...

I remember reeading that it was a one-off that Roger would use for "Eight Miles High" at the end of Byrds sets.

This may be the same 341/12SF that was at the RRHOF when I was there in 2004, and they had it credited as belonging to McGuinn. I was hoping that there would be more Byrd guitars on display, like the 1970 370/12Byrd, but it was the only one. It is probably the same one, and here is more about it....
