On Friday, July 28, 2006 maintenance will take place at approximately 12:00 midnight AST or 11:00 pm EST. The Forum will be in "lock down" mode during this time which means that you will be able to read but not post. Posting should resume at 8:00 am AST Saturday July 29, 2006.

Not me! I'll probably catch up on my forum reading.

Lock down! I love it. Time to start throwing our food around and banging our cups against the cell bars. It's also time to start referring to Peter as the "warden".

Cool, my band will be playing anyway, so I will miss it entirely Image I hate it when I can't get on...this place is addictive!

Thanks Squid. Pardon me. It must be my magnetic personality. I will begin in Ernest to hold the line.

Thanks for those who have provided feedback about the Rickenbacker Forum maintenance. We should be set to go now. A few posts were lost during this maintenance and the fact that it could be read but functions disabled was confusing to some. I apologize for this inconvenience.

Peter, FWIW I clicked in a few times yesterday and couldn't read anything that was up and posted already.....it just said the function was disabled while in maintenance mode, so I just figured that was that...no biggie.

Peter, the maintenance took longer than stated above (the site was down all of Saturday for me). Was there a problem or did it just take longer than predicted?

Peter FYI a number of my posts and at least one thread that I posted on have completely been eliminated. My post count is accurate though.

Gary and Brian: The forum was migrated to a new server to avoid a problem that we encounters a couple of weeks ago. Don't you just hate it when you have problems trying to avoid a problem.

It took longer than expected, but then I always expect it, if that makes any sense.

Posts went missing as they were made on portions of the Forum that were already transferred to the new server. I enabled posting prematurely and apologize for those posts that were lost.

IMO no apologies are necessary Peter.

I said yesterday how much I appreciate your work in this regard.

A simple thank you seems so out of place and inadequate at times like this.

Looks like i've missed it again.
You do a great job, Peter, and no small troubles can really trouble it (if that sentence makes sense).

It was a tough weekend without any forum 'fixes'. I'm in the IT industry myself, Peter, so I'm fully aware of the pitfalls. Keep up the great work, eh? This place is a joy!

A couple of my posts were lost, but they weren't very good anyway!
