Does anyone have any pictures of what it looks like underneath the bridge when it is removed? I'm trying to figure out what it should look like so that I know what the previous owner of mine did to it.

Great pics, Paul.
The famous 4001/4003 bridge/tailpiece unit, which according to some gentlemen in this Forum will bend up from the string tension... You'll have me splitting my sides, guys.

Looks like the guy cut a piece of wood (and not very well) to fill the hole. Should be easy to reverse with another Ric tailpiece since the badass is smaller.

What year was she made? (What's the xx-xxxx derial # on the jackplate?)
I asked because your baby also has a non-recessed treble pickup ring like my '72 4001.

Its a '76 I believe. Or at least that's whay I've heard. I've never actually tried looking up the serial #, but the last 4 digits are 6233.

Yeah, it's been modded like crazy. Aside from the new bridge, its got a different neck pickup, new tuners, and he replaced the rick-o-sound jack with an xlr output.
