OK so this isn't a Ric, but John Entwistle was a well known Ric player and we all love a bit of bass playing around here,so here's a clip of The Ox in action....the bass track is isolated for our listening pleasure

Whoa. What tone . . . I wonder how much of that is just the Alembic electronics and how much is effects and such . . .

What sort of effects do you hear? I hear MAYBE some compression, if at all.

That was great! I loved the "damaged frames" message that would come up from time to time. Oh, and the cool toggle switch thing he does near the very end. What are all those controls on the lower horn for? Great feedback at the end. Must've been LOUD!!!

It's funny- I posted this same link a few weeks and my post got deleted because it was off topic. Still pondering that one.
Anyway, great link!

I love John's playing- strangely enough I like Billy Talbot's playin just as much. They are true opposites- John's over the top, and Billy just lurches on, but lurches on forcefully.

My Frickenbird project, tribute to John's mid- 70's Fenderbirds that Peter Cook built for him but mine has 4004 pickups instead of Thunderbird pups):

Dave, that's sweet! It would really look cool if it had that pickguard like John's had...
