There's just something special about black trim.
I love it!

I have two with black trim.....it totally changes the character of the basses with it installed. I only wish it was still offered!

You know, BT used to excite me about as much as the "Knight Rider" TV show. Not very much. BUT I think I could live with it now. The BT option, not the TV show! Har! I have never owned a BT RIC.

No more B/T, no more white, I guess this could be considered collectible, which is good since I'm more of a collector than a player nowadays.

I wish I still had this 1973 checkered jetglo, do you think it would be collectible?

I discovered Rush in 1975 and the first thing I noticed was the Rick. There was a gap in 80's when I stopped following what they were doing(and the Rick disappeared), and got back up to speed in the 90's(Fender?). Saw them twice in 2004 and look forward to the new album.

Say what you like about his vocal abilities, undeniably he is a world class bassist and that fact is especially underscored whenever he plays a Rickenbacker.

Ok- since this thread is officially off track, here's a bizarre pic from the Mike Portnoy forum of Rush and the Runaways from 1976.

You may now resume pics of B/T ricks.
