That is a common bit of hackery. It might be reversible if there is not much additional routing under the guard.

I like it where, after all that work, it gets the perfect Paul McCartney sound with flat wound strings. I'm pretty sure it could have gotten that sound without all of the monkey business. It looks pretty easy to reverse this twisted process though...with about $500.00 worth of parts.

I remember BT in the 80s and 90s, but was it available in the late 70s? Somebody rescue that girl!

Ben, here is a beauty that passed through my collection a couple of years ago. I sold it to Jeff Rath, and he sold it to another forumite, and he to another. I've kinda lost track of it now. It was a 2002, the last year of black trim. Great grain on this one. Mint, too.

Paul, that one still makes me drool. I was afraid to play it! I know Jeff sure didn't wanna drill a hole in it!

Paul, Jeff sold that to me after I pretty much begged him to sell it. She was the nicest MG I have seen too date. I sold it to a non- forumite out in LA to fund a C64S.

It went to that nut job Bruce Bierman (http://www.brucebierman.com/)that claims to have colaborated in secret with Lennon. I tried to get ahold of it to get it back in the forum, but no dice. I really do want this one or one like it.

...lokk on the "about" tab and there is a picture of him playing it.
