Outdoor gig pics!

Here are a few pics that my sister in law took at the gig I had with my friend Billy D. a couple of nights ago....
We had a GREAT time, in spite of a very strong wind that at one point blew one of the small PA speakers right off of its spot atop one of the big subwoofers....and some frightening power surges that knocked out one of Bill's synth modules....
Our audience was small but extremely enthusiastic, and we both really put our heart and soul into our performance.... Bill (a seasoned pro who has been out of the music biz for a few years) feels that we played well enough together that we can start pursuing other gigs.... We plan to begin recording soon, and will submit a couple of songs for the Forum CD by the end of this week!

Looks like fun Melissa. Beautiful spot to play! I grew up in Minnesota, transplanted to the east coast since I was 14, but I still like to call myself a midwesterner!
The blueburst in these pictures...what model is this? I haven't seen a guitar with a 400x type body before. It's beautiful.

The Blueburst is the beat-up old 481 slant-fret that was beautifully transformed last winter by Paul W....

Very nice. We will have to make the drive up in the coming years to check out the festivities. These are my favorite type of venues for music.

I'll have to read about that restoration. Really beautiful.
We're heading the the Newport Folk Festival tomorrow, in Newport RI. About an hour drive from here. Should be a really fun outdoor show!

Paul, this one is my favorite pic from the gig.... the smile on my face is a vast understatement of how great it feels to play that awesome looking and sounding guitar!

It feels fabulous to play.... barre chords and lead lines have never been so easy.

If I may jump in again, I played it for a few hours during and post-resto, in the process of dialing it in. There was no learning curve for me--it was quite natural.
One more thing--the pickups are the hottest thing since Junior poured Tabasco on the cat's nether regions.
