I just bought a jetglo 360WB, and I haven't been able to find much information out there about this model. Is it a "less" desireable Rickenbacker? Or just a rare duck? I typed the serial into the Rick.com site and it said mine was built Feb 1982... Wondering if anyone could tell me more about this model, how long they were made, ballpark value (not that I want to sell, but just curious what they should go for.. I haven't seen one for sale even on Ebay).. Thanks

I wish I had ordered a 360/WB when they were available.
Same body and neck as 360V64 but with HiGains, bound soundhole, R tailpiece, modern triangle inlays, and different knobs. Is the peghead made vintage size or is it a 'Gumby'?
That's a class guitar, Matt. A bit of carnauba wax is all it needs!

Is the inside really black? I've seen a few guitars where it appears the owner painted the inside black, or at least partially so. Did the factory ever finish the insides?

Yes, just inside where the opening is painted black inside... I have absolutely no idea if its "supposed" to be painted or not as this is my first Rick and I don't really know much about them.. (which is why I am here, to learn more) Upon inspecting the control cavity, it is also painted black (though this looks like factory paint than the "spray bomb" style of paint job inside the sound hole....

My guess is that the sound-hole was not painted at the factory and that this was done in the interest of "coolness" by a previous owner. It does accentuate the white binding on the cats' eye, however, I can't say that I have noticed many with this added touch up.

I couldn't help but notice the shape of the bouts on that 360. The upper bout is what one would expect to see on a 360, coming to a point. However, the bottom has a more rounded bout much like that of a 330 or 370 style. Is this a unique feature of this guitar or is my ignorance of Ric styles showing? I always associate the 360 with what George Harrison's looked like. Both bouts coming to a sharp point as it were,
with the bottom bout being a bit smaller (shorter). What say you about this, anyone?
By the way, I do like that style very much...

Can you still buy a new 360WB these days? I looked at a link posted on this website, and there was a 1995 360WB for sale..
When did they start/stop making this model?

I had an '89 360/12WB - it had a horrible orangy-glo which was far from the fireglo we all know and love. I think it had hi-gains or something- but no toasters..
