Hearing other Ric players

I'd like to exchange some sound samples. I've got a killer tone coming out of the most unlikely amp, and I'd like to hear what other players think of it. On the flip side I'd like to hear what other Ric artists are doing with their axes. Is there a medium on this forum to do that?
My amp is a Fender Acoustasonic Junior, 40 watt with 2x8" speakers. I've tried it with a Fender Hotrod Deville, a Marshall 2x12 combo (can't remember what it was), and a vintage Traynor (late 60s I think). So far I like my little acoustasonic the best, weird!!!

hmmm.. I should have thought the process through before starting this thread... I don't have anything recorded (well) with my Ric yet, I've only had it a couple of weeks. We record everything we do on a little cassette deck on the floor in the middle of the room, but its pretty thin sounding and the tapedeck makes it "warble".
hmmm... ok, so I need to reinstall CuBase and get some tracks down... give me like a week and I'll a few tunes (or at least some samples).

Alex, is the Rickenbacker guitar you are using the 620 you mentioned in the Talk To The Toneman thread "Amp Advice, Please!!!", and is it a 6- or 12-string?
I think I posted a blurb somewhere in the Forum about how good my 6- and 12-string RICs sound through, of all amps, my Crate GX-40C. Aha! Found more than one:

Gary, yes its the same guitar I mentioned in the "Amp advice please!!!" Thread.
Interesting that you get similar results with your Crate! I'm goind to a friends place this weekend who's got about 8 different quality amps, so I'll get a firm idea from there of what exactly I want.
.wav to .mp3 - I use "Creative Sound Recorder" to record .wav format, then I use a free software that I found online to convert to .mp3. I found it by going to
www.google.ca and searching for 'free .wav converter'. It took me a little while to find one that worked without pop-ups, but that should get you on the right track.
Whenever I'm doing any serious recording I do keep track of most of the variables you mentioned, but I recently moved my computer from the basement to the top floor and havn't set up my recording facilities yet.
Within the next two weeks for sure I'm going to get a couple tracks recorded with my whole band, once they're done I'll post links to download them, all constructive criticism welcome! Once they're up, if you do want specific data, I will keep track of most variables.
Once I've got a little free time, probably on friday I'm going to check out Kenny Howes' mp3s, anyone else have any material they'd like to share? We've got this forum full of people who seem to know what they're talking about, may as well take advantage of it!

Just another possible variable: the brand and thickness of the pick used. Or does this make a significant difference? (I usually use Fender thins.)

Yeah... I guess the pick would make a difference, but then you're getting into how the pick was held, individual techniques and stuff.
