Should I Sell my 350SH ?

Ive been considering parting with my 350SH. Absolutely nothing wrong with her, shes in A1 condition and I still love her truly. She was my 1st Ric
Two factors contributing to my quandry are:
(1) Since I got my 330, Susanna has rarely been out of the closet. Without a doubt the 350SH is the superior instrument, but Ive really bonded with my 330 and always reach for it whenever Im not in the mood to play 12 string.
(2) Cash lol
We are planning for our once in a lifetime dream vacation to the far east next year. Although I dont need to sell the guitar for this, I cant help thinking that I could cover a good portion of the expense by doing so. And no, the wife isnt behind this
In fact, she was shocked when I mentioned it to her. "Thats totally YOUR decision," was her response, "Im staying completely out of this one!" lol
So tell me... what would you guys do??

David: Keep the 350SH as it is only going to go up in price.
When you go on your trip, send it to me for safe keeping. Just kidding.
I would wait a while longer to see if you still feel this way. If you don't need the cash right away, think on it a bit more. Your wife is a wise woman.

Personally, I'd never sell a Ric. Since it isn't really an issue of "I need rent or I'm inbetween jobs", I'd say keep Susanna in her safe place. If you have more than 2 or 3 guitars (like most of us here) certain models will not get played for long periods of time for whatever reason. This is okay. I'd hold onto the 350SH - I'd hate to see you saying "Why did I get rid of that one?" a few months after your vacation.

I'd keep it.. I got mine 3 years ago... Wouldn't dream of selling it... They don't come around too often, I've seen lots of Lennons, Pettys, and Wilsons, a few Townsends, a couple McGuinns, but I think I've only seen 2 Susanna's in the last 6 months, one had no pickgard and the other had no certificate... Go figure...

DO NOT SELL IT!!!!
Unless your family is starving, and even then only once you've lost all your other possesions, never sell an instrument you have attachment to.
I sold my first acoustic because I got into bass, I've regretted it ever since. That was just a $600 Yamaha, you're talking about something really special.
Coincidentally I'm also budgeting for the dream-vacation (honeymoon, just got engaged). If you really need the extra cash do what I'm doing. I spend about 10 hours a week assembling mail-out packages for a marketing company in my livingroom.
They deliver the stuff to my door, I drop it off at the post office once a week and make about $300.00 ($215US) a week. On top of 3-4 jams a week and having a fiancee and a 50 hour a week job its a lot, but when I'm sitting in my private salt water pool in my private bungalo in Jamaica for three weeks I'll forget all about this little insignificant inconvenience (spelling??).
DO NOT SELL YOUR GUITAR!!!

Alex, since you're a musician about to take the marital plunge, you need to decide whether you're an amateur musician or a professional musician.
The difference is that an amateur musician also holds another job, while the professional has a spouse that works!
On that basis, I'm decidely an amateur but my long time song writing partner is a consumate pro.

Don't sell it...I've done it once with more reasons than you guys and regret it deeply. It's paid for, it's sitting there doing nothing but it doesn't bother you...forget it where it is... the day will come where you'll be craving it and then... all you'll have to do will be to take it out of it's case instead of waiting a year after placing an order! Good luck and be wise!!! (You can always find money for your trip...even if it means to play your 650SH on the corner street!!)

KEEP IT!!! I just got the new Bangles CD- it Rocks!! It's gonna be relased in the US soon, then a tour. Watch the value on that guitar shoot up!! But I'd still keep it...

Just caught the "Something that you said" video from The Bangles - and the 350SH is front and center.
