McCartney Showing His Age

Paul is looking a bit tired here.

I know some of you Macca bashers are going to have a field day, but I'm glad he's letting the hair go. It's ok to get old isn't it?

I think he's tired and feeling vulnerable Brian.

I would be too if I had gone through all the stuff he has endured lately.

We are finally seeing the private side of him. It makes him seem so much more down to earth when his handlers just let him be himself.

He looks tired, but for once he's dignified. I find my heart going out to him.

All of those dyed-hair publicity shots were just so "in denial", you know?

Here he looks his age. And imagine the same Paul with a smile on his face!

Soon I hope Paul. Like I mentioned elsewhere, I don't care who you are, how much money you have or how bad your judgment was, anyone that is 64 deserves a little peace in their lives.

Paul went through a similar time when Linda died. He looked awful for quite awhile. He baounced back from that, and he'll bounce back from this.

My point, Kris, is that he doesn't look awful. He looks real for the first time in awhile...

I respect him for not wearing his "happy" public face for once.

I don't think he looks bad or anything, sad or thoughtful - perhaps. But in any case, i've seen younger people who looked much older.

He is starting to look like his dad did at about that age... except that his dad wore glasses and suffered from a bit of balding.

I wonder if anyone out there can dig up the "What will they look like at 64" illustrations that came out in LIFE or TIME magazine sometime back in the late 60's? It'd be interesting to see if they got Macca right!

When I'm 64, huh?

Except for the extra weight and double chin, Macca at least is close. They missed the mark on Ringo entirely with the hair but close on the features.

John and George? Sadly we will never know how close they came.

Kicked about the head by a one-legged soon-to-be ex-wife? I think he looks his age, and there's no shame in that.

"For example, did you know that John Lennon once joined Paul McCartney on stage in 1976 during the Wings' World Tour ? Here they are performing Let Me Roll It together. What a shot it is !"

an event that never was, but an interesting thought.

John later said he would never play with Paul again after seeing the hack job to the the 4001 horns. John stated that "I'm the only Beatle that can butcher a guitar mate."
