...on the Mike Douglas Show. I can't decide if I like the arrangement or not. Yoko sure give Linda McCartney a run for her money in the percussion playing department.

I'm not sure I care for the keyboard arrangement--sounds better on a proper piano.

I'd have to check, but I believe the audio was released on the "Imagine - The Soundtrack" album.

I don't think that version was Kris. I don't remember hearing a brass section before.

It's on one of his albums. I've heard the version before.

It's always interesting to me to see how John couldn't really hold a "serious" moment...

"You may say I'm a dreamer...
"But I'm not the only one...

AM I!??!!!!!

Kris, have you found the album yet? I would be interested to know which one it was. I haven't purchased many of the compilation stuff that has come out over the years so it could have been on one of those and I wouldn't have known it.

Though I've never heard it, could it be the version taken from "Live in NYC"?

BINGO STAN! I have that album and I don't think I've ever listened to it. Track 8

Mice work Stan. There you go Kris. You weren't Imagine-ing it. Image Sorry!

A rough album, but pure, raw Lennon. I'm giving it a good listen right now.

Douglas, of course, just died August 11th.

And that's ironic because he was born August 11th.

The odds of that? 1/365.

I finally looked through my collection. The version of Imagine with the brass section is not on one of John's legitimately released albums. It is on a 1980's bootleg called "Telecasts", which feature John's live performances from Douglas, Frost, and some other shows. Excellent (mono) quality, I believe it's been issued in CD format, too.

Great live version.
