As a Bagpipe player i check out youtube on a regular basis and saw this short video.
The piper is not very good but there is a 4003 in the background.

Two years ago at the condo we use in the summer one of the gents had his nephew staying and they both played pipes - every night they went to the park next door and piped the sun down. It was inspiring and sounded great - I love the sound of pipes anyway. One of my goals for retirement - learn to play.

I used to rehearse with an orchestra at the NC State Music Dept and the beginner bagpipe class in the adjacent room.
Just like the old joke:
Why are bagpipe pipers always marching?
To get away from the noise..

Love bagpipes. Not great for every kind of music, but they can make some things sound amazing. I've never attempted to play them, but I've heard quite a bit about the incredible difficulty in playing properly.

I view bagpipes like a violin - anyone can make them squawk. It takes a lot of practice to make them sing, but when one does, nice sounds. For me bagpipe sound connects to the soul.

I have been playing for eight years now and i still hit some really big "Klinkers"... and quite often too.
The wife tells me, "if i hit another one, the front yard will be full of geese"
A $1200.00 goose call
