very impressive for sure. If you are gigging around downtown Halifax be sure to let me know! I'll bring my 72' for show and tell. My band was kinda dormant the past two months, but each of my rics got to see a gig this month.

Morrow... same goes for you. I have been going to Bearly's with friends to swing dance now and then (saw garret mason friday). Maybe I can drop by on a sunday and request a few dance tunes.

Ginge ....Come down to the land of dreams some Sunday , it would be great to hear you play. I had Farrington Jr up last week for several tunes but I haven't been getting that many bassplayers to come up.

I hear that Skank Williams is looking for a bass player. All girl band , they have drums , banjo , vocals and guitars and they just do Hank covers. You would be perfect on the gig.

Morrow.....I don't know if saying someone is perfect for an all girl band called "Skank Williams" is complimentary. Image

I think Jeffrey might have been referring to the 75th Anniversary doo that Rickenbacker will be hosting Ginge .

I put in a call to the Farringtons and left a message on their machine . I believe Dawn plays banjo in Skank Williams. Brad Conrad had mentioned to me last week they were looking for a female bassist . I will give Dawn your number if the spot is still open . I think they are pretty loose with the arrangements ,,,, after all there were neither drums nor banjo in the Drifting Cowboys. The occasional Jaco inspired bass solo might be just the ticket .

If you do get the gig you will be impossible to replace .... heh

Omg I wish I could go to the rickenbacker bash!!!..Truth is I'm on assistance as disabled due to transitioning and a genetic disorder I have to a degree called marfans syndrome..long an short of it is I'm prone to aneurisms an must be careful..also I make very li'l cash on disability and had some students an gigs lined up last winter. When the news got spread around about me being a transsexual, I lost them all...so this girls life is not at all easy.I know I'll be able to get work in Maryland...I'm hoping it will be gigs, but whatever; I'll teach or work in a music store if I must..my darling is there and we'll be married in the fall...I'm fulltime all the time now....always Ginger...never Blaire..I never will be again..its a li'l tough doing that in the area you grew up in...so..wish me luck..cuz.."i gotta be me..i gotta be me.."

Great stuff, Ginger (sorry for being late - just got the possibility to watch the videos with the sound). And best of luck. You can do it, i'm sure.
