Do these have binding or are they shaped like a 4003S ?

They're normal 4003 models in a light blue finish.

Yes, they have binding. I've got the indentations on my forearm to prove it.

My fav is still WHite- mellowed of course. Kind of like the aged Olympic White you find on old Fenders.

My fave is bright white. Too bad you can only enjoy it for a couple years... Image

Not so fast Scott, some of the ones from the 90's are still looking good. Here's a 97 on top (9.5 years old) and a 93 on the bottom (13 years old)

Top one's mine (97), bottom one belongs to a Dude pitter who confirmed the s/n to be a 93. I read somewhere that they were doing something different with the white or the clear in the 90's that slowed down the yellowing, the one that's 13 years old gives me some confidence that there could be some staying power. Of course you could go the Paul W. route and have a non yellowing white refin done to any rick and it would look just as good as the factory.(or better)

A certain white refinish from 67 still looks good too...
