I'm not sure if this belongs in this Forum...but something that Bruce stated concerning Bernard Purdie caught my eye!
R.I.P Bruce!

Welcome to the forum Arthur,
You are the bearer of sad news indeed.
Bernard Purdie did not play drums with the Beatles as far as I know. Perhaps others would care to comment on that topic.

Thanks Brian for the welcome...
What caught my eye was that the DC5 stuff was faked. I've tried looking for footage of the DC5 doing live stuff...and can't seem to find anything.

Bernard Purdie taught Ringo everything Ringo knows about playing guitar.

Then Ringo taught Eric Clapton everything Eric Clapton knows about playing guitar...

Brian: That means you sound just like Bernard Purdie!

I wonder if Eric knows that he sounds just like Bernard? Bernard is God!

Now that most of you have had a bit of fun, how about saying hello to Arthur. He's new around these parts.
Ringo is a great guitar player though.

I used to part of the voxtalks forum but I don't know what happened to the site?
I'm a former drummer...(lefty that plays righty), then I picked up the guitar (and I do a bit of singing also).
I had heard that Doug Fieger was in the hospital recovering from surgery for the removal of two brain tumors...then I heard about Gary Bruce...that also died of cancer.
(Both of the Knack for those of you who don't know)
I just thought how weird and sad at the same time.
I've always liked the Beatles...but when the Knack put out their first album...they became my 2nd fave at the time.

Arthur, voxtalks is still active. Here's the link:

I think you'll enjoy it here. There's a 75th anniversary bash going on in Santa Ana for Rickenbacker, so right now many of our members are there for the factory tours and the celebration.
