Well I finally pulled the trigger on a couple of guitars.
I traded my Ibanez AM73 for an Epiphone Casino. I decided against the blonde version, opting for the excellent look of the Vintage Sunburst. What a difference those P90's make. The neck is extremely fast and comfortable. I like this guitar a lot!
But I wasn't done GASing yet! In honour of the 41st Anniversary of George Harrison receiving his second Ric 360/12 (the contoured model that was subsequently stolen from Abbey Road) I ordered a new 360/12FG! It is on its way right now and should be here next week!
Woohoo!

That Casino is gorgeous! I've got a cherry one myself, not as nice as yours.
Watch out for those P-90s.....they'll get ya!

I absolutely love the feel and sound on the Casinos. I have the JL Revolution one and it remains one of my favs.. It has a slightly different feel to it than on the non-JL Casinos.

Beautiful Casino. Is that a regular MIK version or the Elitist version? I got my MIK sunburst Casino last year, and it has become one of my favorite guitars. The finish and action and EVERYTHING about it was perfect!
I remember when we started seeing John and George playing Casinos around 1966, and I felt betrayed! Where were the precious Ricks and Gretchs? Now I see why it become JL's main electric in the later Beatle years.

Jerry:
It is a MIK Casino. I like the guitar alot! It has a very comfortable neck and very low action. I'm afraid it might take a backseat for a week or so when my new Ric 360/12FG arrives next week!

And the weight! So light, you can barely feel it on your shoulder

I'm a nut for Casinos. I've three Koreans (Sunburst, Cherry, Ebony w/ Bigsby), a Korean Sorrento (Orange w/ Bigsby), and an Elitist (Sunburst w/ Bigsby). Here are a couple of them:

Randy: Do they stay in tune okay with the Bigsby's?
Nice guitars!

And did you add the Bigsby yourself?

Doug and Jerry: I honestly don't use the Bigsby tailpieces. I just like the way they look. That would explain why I ordered a Teardrop 9-string from Phantom guitars with a Bigsby (see photo below). I usually keep the arms folded back out of the way, as I'm mainly a rhythm player. I suppose they work as well (i.e. stay in tune) as they do on any other guitar. The Elitist came with a Bigsby (it's a rare presentation model awarded to a sales manager from Musician's Friend). I installed the Epi Bigsbys on my Sorrento and an ebony Casino. It's strange, but the trapeze mounting holes vary in location on these guitars. Sometimes the three-hole Bigsby (i.e. B70) uses the same holes and other times you must drill new holes.

Wow, nice. My brother has a Korean Sunburst and a Revolution natural finish.

That is a great guitar Douglas. I have a MIK as well, Its hard deciding which guitar to play, Casino or Rickanbacker. Can you post a close up of your bridge as I need to re-set mine. I was also thinking of the plastic saddels what does any one think about them?

Here's a photo of the bridge Geoff. Does that help?
I'm sure the plastic saddles contribute to the "Lennon" sound.

Thats good thanks. For some reason my old guitar tech set up the saddles all facing the same way. Same as your top strigs. do you know why he would of done that as I have moved since he set it up.

As long as it intones correctly with the saddles all facing the same way, it's OK. The only reason
to reverse some of them is to get an extra mm or two for proper intonation.
