*tap tap tap* Is this thing on? This is my first post on any forum EVER in my life.

Just a big thank you to everyone for showing me such kindness and generosity and acceptance. Being in your presence was a lovely way to spend this weekend........and to think, I thought it would just be another day at work! Boy was I mistaken! ;)

Don't want to list names because it will be the longest post EVER if I do that. So just know that I appreciate it. I'm glad you all had a good time and I learned so much more about RIC. And now crave to learn even more about the instruments and history. So thanks for that. Image

Whoa, hold the bus here....is that Alison, our dynamite Rickencruise Director? The same super-woman who can remedy all sorts of problems...from artist requests and lost tickets through to correct fitting Rickenbacker T shirts???

Welcome to the family, Alison! Image

tah, thanks! Glad to have found you all....and John, I'm stoked that you like the cd Image Maybe I'll make it to another confluence one of these days.....hmmmm...could do.

16 - left!

Seriously though...you were all the most down to earth bunch I've ever met at one time. It was just so genuine. So where do I have to fly to in order to do this again?? And maybe I'll get to jam next time! Got off of the night job too late on Friday.

by the way.....the phone has been found....in bits and pieces...long story, but it's cool...kinda ( I got a loaner for the time being).

by the way, do I log in my username and password for every post? Also, I might just take some time and read all the old posts and try to learn and catch up so I don't get lost in all the conversations....either that or stick to the none guitar topics....nahh...I'll do some research and learn.

I was hesitant to do a thank you post but might just have to soon...John, (tall John with the really short hair and nice smile) thanks for helping me make sure no one was left behind at the HOB, I couldn't have done it all without you and you were so gracious to help! Darren, Graham and H aka B...feel like I've known you all for ever...great sense of humour and good hearts. You are awesome. I can't go and list everyone's name or can I? ...Alisha, Joey and wife, Don, John, John, John and John...Jerry, Jason Paul and lovely wife, Joey and lovely wife...I better just stop there or you'll beg me not to post again. Just know that if we had any dialogue at all then I think your swell and I'm glad we met. Image

Alison, cool that you found your way here! I'm going to give your cd a listen right now.

I doubt that any of the people who met you would beg you to stop posting. Did you like playing my 4001?

Hi Alison!! Thanks for getting that VIP pass for Mike Gutierrez. He arrived late from Hawaii and came right from the airport to make the HOB show. He is one of us but somehow missed out on the VIP stuff.

You have a CD? How did I miss that?

I vaguely remember you telling me about your band, and that you had a Myspace for them, but honestly, I was pretty drunk at the time. Image What was the band called again?

Joey, yeah, it was awesome.....Thanks for letting me play it. That was my first time EVER playing a RIC bass....well I strummed the light up one once but don't think that counts....and that's not even a bass! The 4001 was very nice, thanks for that....Too funny, by the way, that we've kinda known each other since before this weekend....maybe that's why I thought you looked really familiar when I first saw you but didn't say anything...too cool.

Ted, it was my pleasure to track down that pass for Mike. That's what my whole night was filled with: one mission after another (and I loved it!) I called the tasks missions to make it more edgy and dangerous sounding....yeah, I'm a nut!

Regarding the CD: I only made a few copies....I'm not one to jam music in folks ears so I didn't make a big deal of it. If you want to e-mail me your address I'd be happy to send you one though. Image

Alison,
Keep complimenting me on my smile and I'll help you anytime!!! LOL. It was my pleasure to lend you a hand. I echo Alisha's comments above, we all should thank you (except that I would call you a "dudette", not a "dude." You were the best cruise director/babysitter/problem solver/bartender/T-Shirt seller anyone could ask for!!! Is there anything you can't do?
How come I didn't hear anything about your CD?

Alison - /whisper on - I think your bonus track is the best one of all. /whisper off

You should have gotten up and tried many instruments during the jams. Too bad you had to WORK!
