Ronn: Why a drum for 'Strawberry Fields'? And I was thinking the alarm clock for 'A Day In The Life'. Am I going crazy?

As you know, the electric bass is only heard during the first minute of "SFF"(before the splice/edit), and there's a secondary drum track during the last half of the song(referred to as "Wild Drum Track" on the track sheet)of someone going nuts on a floor tom. I play the Ric for the first minute of the song, then pick up the mallets for the rest.
There's a break in the middle of "Walrus" where the instruments drop out and there's an alarm clock(among other sounds). And yes, there is an alarm clock during "ADITL", but our lead guitarist "plays" it, and it's a different clock. Yes, we carry two alarm clocks.

Ronn: With regard to playing Beatle music, as long as your group has the inclination, I see no reason why it shouldn't have the time as well. You could also save the alarm for Tossin' and Turnin'.

Oh, it's one of those 'two-alarm-clock' bands! Dueling alarm clocks, the mind reels! Better keep it to yourself, or soon everybody will be doing it. Dare I ask how many cowbells you guys have? You can never have too many cowbells...

I know for a fact we have 2 cowbells, 3 tambourines, 3 harmonicas, 3 capos, 1 can compressed air, 1 electric drill, 1 glass of water w/straw, 1 fire bell, and one U-Boat Captain's hat.

I'm surprised that you guys don't carry a spare U-boat captain's hat...

The CS, and the Fender Jazz in the photo above, are basses I use during our British Invasion set. I rotate in and out a bunch of basses for this set, sometimes a Gibson EB-2, Jerry Jones Longhorn, Epiphone Rivoli, Phantom Teardrop Hollowbody, etc. The tunes for this set dictate a more "normal" tone to Squire's. When I play the CS I usually think Entwistle's Ric tone, or Roger Waters' Syd-era Pink Floyd Ric bass tone. The CS sounds great on SAC's "Inscense & Peppermints".
I usually use the CS when I'm in an original band. In that case I do go for a more Squire-esque tone.

Thanks Alex, where are you in W.Texas?
I'm going to the store this afternoon and buying the "Veronica Mars First Season" DVD set, they used one of my original band's tunes in an episode, recorded with the CS in above photo.
