This one just does not look right to me. Correct me if I am wrong but that tailpiece and treble surround are not a Rickenbacker parts. Also, the headstock is not right to my eyes. What say the rest of you?

I agree. Fingerboard too dark jumped out first.

The treble surround, tailpiece, long tuner keys, fingerboard wood, color of the inlays, head shape, lack of SN on the jack plate all spell Japanese copy with a real TRC to me.

Yes, that bass is as obvious a fake as they come. Or should I say that just about every one of its appointments is a dead giveaway.
Remove and carefully put away the legit TRC on it, then violently smash it to tiny pieces against the nearest wall. You know the drill.

I wonder how high this one will go...if it doesn't get removed first.
..nice case though.

The guy has admitted it's a fake. The Rick police do their job again!
Good work folks!

Can't we string him up by his Rickys? LOL!
At least he admitted the error of his ways.... Still, don't do it again!!!

The only genuine admittance of error from the seller would be for him to end the listing. The fact that a trademark infringing item is still being auctioned is a crime, regardless of whether the seller states it or not.
