Love that song. It's on one of my '70s pop comp CDs. That and 'So Into You' by (Atlanta Rhythm Section?) which features another Rick 4001, if I'm not mistaken.

I love the sound his Ric gets on this song - Reminds me a lot of McCartney's sound on Wings Across America.

Yeah that's a good sound, nice and full.
I've seen pictures of the Atlanta Rhythm Section's bass player with a white 4001, he has a nice Ric solo on Champagne Jam. They were a great band.

The band was made up of some of Atlanta's top studio musicians, or so I'm told.

Didn't that 4001 have full width inlays? Look at about 1:06.

Interestingly enough, what you're seeing on that video is the bulk of what would later become the Alan Parsons Project. The members of Pilot became the primary drummer, lead guitarist and bassist (David Paton - also one of the main singers) for the Project. Not coincidently, Alan Parsons produced this song. Paton moved on from the Ric though after this - uses a Stingray and Steinberger now(given to him by Elton John when he became Elton's bassist).

Great song and great Ric sound. Very Macca. Also reminds me of the Raspberries. On David Paton's website he says how much he loves his Stingray. I was wondering where would that pretty pre 1974 4001 be now...???
