Now that I've had my 380L PZ for a day or two...

I want to know a little more about what makes it tick so to speak. I went the the RIC Int'l page to look up the schematic but, I didn't see one for this guitar. I am particularly interested in the Piezo and "active electronics".

On another note. I am experiencing some string buzz higher up on the fret board. 4,5,6 strings buzzing a little, 1,2,3 strings somewhat muting. I thought that I would raise the strings a little at the bridge and this would take care of it. However, the supplied allen wrench does not fit the screws on the bridge (wrench to large, apparently) so, I will find a smaller wrench. Will this effectively eliminate the buzz/muting? By the way, the guitar sounds and plays phenominal. I love the sound it makes and the appearance is outstanding, love the walnut and the gold hardware!

I had a 360/12V64 with buzzing and muting- I brought it to a tech, he said the neck was out of whack a bit... So he straightened it..

Mdbuck: Check to see how straight the neck is. You can capo the first fret and hold the strings down at the 17th fret and see how much relief you have between the neck and the strings. Should you see that the neck is dead straight, then you can increase the height of the bridge slightly to see whether it solves the problem. If there is too much relief then a truss-rod adjustment is the way to go. Do a Search for "Setup" under the utilities and you will find a lot of good information about how to adjust your Rickenbacker.

Currently I'm working on a way to use my Digital camcorder to make some sound clips as I don't have a more professional type system. Right now it records a little to tinny for my taste but, I think with a little more time I may get it close to what actually is a genuine sound. Just needs some work. As far as the 'buckers are concerned, they are hot rods especially with the active electronics. This guitar does not come close to the sound of any guitar I've ever heard. In my mind it's sound stands alone, just a beautiful noise!!

Sorry I didn't get back to the string buzz thing, Pete. I had to get a Capo. Didn't have one. Anyway, I checked the neck using the capo, etc. and it is straight as the proverbial string. So, I'll get on raising the strings if I can only find a competent allen wrench... Image Thanks much for the advice!
