I was very impressed with Marty Wilson-Piper's set at the HOB and the Museum of Making Music (more so there, I suppose, the accoustic setting worked well for him).
Anyone know where to find this newer material? I've been to his website but it's not mentioned there.
I only have "Starfish", by the Church, so if anyone could recommend some good MWP, I'd be much obliged.

Jerry, you and Marty clearly hit it off together at the House of Blues show:-

Do you like Graham's "Where's Wally" impersonation? This is one of my favourite Rickfest pictures...it really captures the moment! Image

Well, he did sign the paper "To Jerry, LOVE Marty Wilson Piper! ImageImage

Jerry, Marty's output has been prolific over the years. I've been listening to his brilliant (2nd) album with Noctorum lately. Both Noctorum albums feature MWP on lead guitar and vocals (available from Heyday records). Check out their Myspace to hear some gorgeous Ric 12:

Thanks very much, Noel.
Seems MWP is a Pink Floyd (pre DSM) freak as well!

"Hanging Out in Heaven" is a great place to start if you're somewhat new to Marty. For Church albums, you can pick up most anything, although "Priest=Aura" and "After Everything Now This" stand out. "Heyday" is very good for the two-guitar jangle rock of their earlier stuff.

Marty listens to pretty much everything. He has one of the world's largest record album collections I think.

Glad to be here! I'm amazed at some of the people here and the work they do on Rics, and the overall knowledge and love for these great guitars and basses. Just amazing! I've learned a ton just reading through the posts.
